"Look well to the spine for the cause of disease" - Hippocrates
Considered alternative, or complementary therapists, Chiropractors aim to treat presenting problems by massaging, stretching and manipulating joints and muscles. This encourages healing by relaxing the muscles, improving mobility and promoting blood flow to the area. As the structures of the body are interconnected, muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones and connective tissue work together as a functional unit. Therefore, a problem in one part can affect others, for example, a headache may be the result of tight neck muscles.

How Chiropractor can help?
The clinician will assess for any pain, tightness, weakness or areas with reduced movement. Once done, you will be given clear feedback outlining any issues they may have found, and they will discuss a treatment plan with you. The risks and benefits of treatment will be outlined, as well as the number of sessions required along with treatment costs.
What are Chiropractors trained to do?
Chiropractors are trained to treat a wide range of conditions such as: Sports injuries, posture related pain and conditions, joint pain, back pain and arthritis.
What will my first treatments consist of?
Treatment may consist of the chiropractor using their hands to stretch joints, massage soft tissue, and perform high velocity thrust techniques, which may create a clicking or cracking noise of the joint. These techniques help reduce symptoms and encourage correct movement. Our Chiropractors will continuously explain what they are doing and ask for consent throughout the session. Treatment itself should not be painful, however, it is not unusual to feel some discomfort afterwards. Exercises may be given to you to complete in between sessions to help with your treatment. Throughout the course of your treatment, the practitioner will review your progression and alter the treatment as required.
How long will it take to recover?
Depending on your presenting condition being treated, recovery times may vary. Exercises and stretches are often given to patients to coincide with their treatment. Evidence indicates that when patients comply with their treatment plan, recovery times are generally faster.
Is it affordable?
Chiropractic treatment at our clinic is affordable. As we are a multi-disciplinary clinic, treatment plans often involve the input from several of our clinicians. If you wish to get back to moving in an optimal manner, without pain or discomfort, please do not hesitate to get in contact with us to see how we may be able to do this for you.
